We met Sarah through the CWHA, as I was referred to them through my birth doula because her agency could not provide me with postpartum doula services. Sarah and I got along very well from The first visit. I was having breastfeeding troubles and my baby was 2 weeks old at the time, and most lactation consultants are online based due to the pandemic. She helped me with a few breastfeeding positions and was able to do some chores around the house while I nursed my baby for the first time since I had left the hospital. My husband and I are both first time parents and Sarah was able to tell us what the baby was trying to say with every cry Sometimes she was gassy, sometimes hungry or just plain fussy. Through the visits, I trusted her more and more until I was the one doing chores and other things while she took care of the baby. Sarah is patient, kind and doesn’t choose work to do. I would call her the perfect postpartum doula and am hoping that she will be available for us for our next child!
