CWHA's Impactful Health Initiatives and HIV Advocacy
Fostering Lifelong Wellness
The Caribbean Women’s Health Association works to promote health and wellness across the lifetime through our services, resource distribution, and outreach efforts. For decades, CWHA has been involved in the fight to stop the HIV/AIDS epidemic. During the fiscal year 2021-2022, we educated roughly 10,000 residents on HIV prevention. Our HIV Prevention Team provides culturally relevant education on a wide range of topics relating to the most important health challenges in our communities.

Diverse Workshops on Health, Self-Esteem, and Awareness
We offer in-person and virtual presentations and workshops on HIV and HIV-related topics, other STDs/STIs, self-esteem, stress management, assertiveness, domestic violence, and more to people of Central Brooklyn. We can deliver this service at your location.
Our women’s support group welcomes all women, including transwomen and ciswomen, of all demographics who are HIV positive or at risk of infection. We meet every other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.
We offer free HIV INSTI testing and counseling on-site, as well as referrals and navigation to care, including PrEP. No appointment is necessary; simply come by during office hours. We also offer free HIV home test kits. HIV testing and counseling services can also be conducted at your location.
